Today I had an unusual travel. Unusual as most of my pals expected me to go on hiking in some familiar trails or spend some time with my friends playing and catching up for missed plays but none of these became my target destination.
I tried a different place – unusual one.
Unusual.
I’ll travel alone.
I’ll go to somewhere I’ve never been before.
I’ll spend a night not even knowing what’s in there.
I’ll go all by myself.
I felt a bit nervous but still, I WILL GO.
My real purpose? more than just hiking, playing and enjoying, I will try to ESCAPE.
Escape from all the problems, pains, worries, stress and doubts of real life.
And to start how I did that, I decided to take the advice of my friend which is to visit Touch of Glory Prayer Mountain in Antipolo, Rizal- I haven’t heard of that place so what I did was to search Mr. Google asked him what is that place and how can I probably go there.
Information given by Mr. Google is quite overwhelming and found out that this place is really recommended if you really need to communicate with Him peacefully. So going back, I was able to go in there.
let me share with you a two-day worth visiting experience from getting there to going back.
GETTING THERE:
For Manila Area (North) – find your way to Cubao
- From Cubao – you can ride either Jeepney or FX going to Cogeo-Padilla tell the driver to drop you at Cogeo Market
*Jeep can be found alongside of Gateway – Php 24.00
*FX/Van is located beside Jollibee (near Cubao-MRT station) – Php 35.00
- Cogeo Market – from here, ride a jeep going to Paenaan tell the driver to drop you at Touch of Glory Prayer Mountain.
*Mostly, Jeepneys are just where the FX/Van driver drops you off – Php 21.00
Travel Time is around 1 hour.
TOUCH OF GLORY PRAYER MOUNTAIN (TGPM)
From drop off point, walk straight and you’ll see the gate of TGPM wherein from there, a guard will approach you.

All in all, I recommend this place for all those who wanted to relax but mostly to call Him out – to talk to him and to cast away all of your burdens & Anxieties (1 Peter 5:7). It is a place where I met a friend, a friend whom I thought have not yet forgiven me, a friend who comforts me and a friend who helped me realize ” THERE’S NOTHING TO ESCAPE FROM”. A friend who is very dear to me, Our lord.
